Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

- Chief Executive Officer (CEO): Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering as a minimum requirement, with preference for a Master’s in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Business/Project Management from an HEC-recognized institution. Candidates need 20 years of post-qualification experience in the power sector, including 5 years at a senior management level as CEO or reporting directly to the CEO. Maximum age limit is 62 years. Appointment follows the “Fit and Proper” criteria under Public Sector Companies Guidelines, 2013.
- Chief Financial Officer (CFO): Requires membership in a recognized body of professional accountants with at least 5 years of relevant experience (for public sector companies with total assets of 5 billion rupees or more), or a Master’s degree in finance from an HEC-recognized university with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Maximum age limit is 50 years.
- General Manager Technical: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university, with a preferred Master’s degree in the same fields. Candidates must have at least 10 years of management-level experience in the power sector. Maximum age limit is 50 years.
- Company Secretary (CS): Requires membership in a recognized body of professional accountants, corporate/chartered secretaries, or a Master’s degree in business administration, commerce, or law with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Maximum age limit is 40 years.
